Two Princes… in agony!
At Dizzielizness we were thrilled and honoured to have one of our valued clients contact us to create a new set of costumes for the Rise Showcase. This time it was being performed at NIDA in Sydney. Two of these costumes were for Jourdan and Charlie playing the two prince roles from ‘Into the Woods’ and singing their tortured anthem ‘Agony’.
‘Prince Ben’ - The Inspiration
The inspiration for our princes came from ‘Prince Ben’ of Disney’s ‘Descendants’. Needing both uniformity and individuality for the princes the fabric was chosen in two royal colours blue and purple.
perfecting
the design
The next step was designing the individual embellishments for each Prince. The idea was to keep them similar but to make it clear they were from different kingdoms. Using a variety of lace, braid, rope, trims, iron on motifs and metallic buttons the look was achieved to success!
Two Princes, complete and centre stage!
After fittings and dress rehearsals, our princes were ready to light up the stage. In their amazing princely regalia, the boys skills were beautifully showcased. Another great moment seeing costumes handmade and embellished by Dizzielizness on stage.
